Police believe they've ID'd parents of abandoned infant

Police believe they've identified the parents of a baby boy who was found abandoned in a car seat early Tuesday morning.

The infant, believed to be between 4 and 6 months old, was found on the porch of a home near North Sherman Boulevard and West Hampton Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. He was wearing a gray Mickey Mouse t-shirt.

"I came to my door. I opened the door. He was there. He didn't have on no clothes. He didn't have a bottle or milk in the paper bag. He just had Pampers," Kisha Stinson said of the early morning discovery on her front porch.

The child was unharmed.

Stinson said she waited a few hours before calling police, hoping that someone would come back for the child. No one did.

Anyone with information about the child is asked to call MPD's Sensitive Crimes Division at 414-935-7405.
