SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -

Former Badgers football star and current Houston Texans standout JJ Watt has quietly made a large donation to the family of Cory Barr. GoFundMe has confirmed that Watt made a $10,000 donation to the fund setup for the fallen firefighter's family.

Barr was killed in the explosion in Sun Prairie on Tuesday night. The 34-year old died while responding to a gas leak.

The GoFundMe account for Barr's family had raised $64,509 in just eight hours thank, in large part, to the substantial donation from Watt. Here's a link to the GoFundMe account: https://www.gofundme.com/benefit-for-the-family-of-cory-barr.
