Hodag Country Festival kicks off for 41st year

Each year Hodag festival attendees line up around the concert grounds, waiting to place their lawn chairs in front of the stage. Wednesday afternoon was the same.

Lines of people are divided up by colors, then chosen through a lottery system. To the dismay of all the other lines, the first color chosen was pink.
With some rain in the Hodag forecast, News 9 asked concert-goers what they plan to do if it gets stormy over the weekend.

"You hang up your wet clothes and just sit in your shorts and enjoy the weather that God gives you, so I mean you enjoy it," said Josh Russell, a Hodag veteran who traveled from Green Bay.

"Honestly, this is my first year here," said Janet Clark, from Elcho. "So far I love it and... no matter if it rains, pours, let it pour. I don't care."

Hodag Country Festival runs through Sunday.
Around 30,000 people make it up for the festival each year.
