In early 1997, WYOW-TV 34 was signed on the air, serving the northern portions of Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  WYOW-TV 34 is a full-power TV station, with a transmitter site located just east of Sugar Camp, Wisconsin.

WYOW-TV 34 helps WAOW-TV more fully serve the viewers of northern Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan by providing a strong signal and excellent reception.  Viewers in this area can find WYOW-TV 34's digital rf signal on channel 28, which will look like 34 on your digital TV or converter box.  You'll get the same fine ABC network programming, as well as Newsline 9's newscasts on WYOW-TV 34.
