
WAOW-TV in Wausau, WI is looking for its next sports director.
This position oversees the sports staff as the chief sports journalist and content producer.
WAOW is the home of the best high school coverage in the market.
Wausau is also big time Green Bay Packers country. That's why WAOW is the "Official Packers Station" in the market. The sports director will coordinate and host a weekly Packers show during the season.
You must be able and willing to do it all to be our next sports leader. We need you to lead the way on all station platforms from television to social media.
This position requires you to anchor, shoot, write, edit, produce and coordinate coverage.
This is not an entry level position. Qualified candidates should have experience as an anchor/reporter.

WAOW is looking for a versatile journalist to join our multi-platform newsroom and award-winning team as an evening anchor.
Qualified applicants should have solid news judgment, strong writing skills and a proven ability to effectively communicate as a newscast anchor. We seek a strong leader who also functions effectively as part of a team. Newscast producing experience is preferred along with knowledge of videography and editing. Experience with AVID I-News and Newscutters is a benefit.
We're looking for a dynamic personality who is excited to get involved in our community. This is not an entry-level position.
