Master Control Operator

WAOW-TV is seeking applicants for a part time Master Control Operator. The successful candidate must be detail oriented, have multi-tasking abilities, and excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities include recording and prepping on air content, commercial insertion, and logging; responding to duties in support of technical operations; and keeping up to date transmitter readings and reports. The candidate will need to possess the necessary technical skills to interface with computer systems running a variety of operating systems as well as the ability to learn new systems.

The successful candidate will have experience with live news environment, excellent computer skills, and people skills. College courses in video production desired. Variable hours and days should be expected including night, weekend and holiday shifts. SBE certification and/or background in broadcast technology preferred. Training is available for an applicant with the right aptitude and technical skills.

Graphics Producer

Stunning visuals. Artful wordplay. Advertisements that move people to act. If you have the creative skills and the passion to achieve this for our online clients on a daily basis, we want you on our team. The Interactive Division of Quincy Newspapers, Inc. is hiring a full-time Graphics Producer to support our fast-growing Interactive advertising sales efforts at a dozen television stations, two radio stations, and two newspapers in seven states. "You can live and work in any of our markets, including Wausau."

As our new Graphics Producer, you will create a wide range of ads for publication our website, mobile and App platforms -- everything from banner ads to animated interactive content, plus microsites, splash pages, and mobile sites for clients and for promotional campaigns.

The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service and attention to detail. Applicants should be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, and Illustrator. Knowledge of Worldnow's CMS "Producer" or the ability to learn it quickly is a plus. Qualifications include a 4-year college degree or equivalent experience, with at least 2-years professional experience in graphic design, advertising production, or creative services. Prefer at least 1-year in internet or television production.
