LINCOLN COUNTY (WAOW) -- Chances are you heard the storms that rolled thorugh Northcentral Wisconsin overnight.
In Lincoln County alone, 5 fires ingnited in 30 minutes from what's believed to be lightening strikes.
One of them happened here in the Town of Corning where fire destroyed a barn.
Firefighters say that many fires, in that short amount of time, doesn't happen very often.
Lt. Tadd Wegener with the Merrill Fire Department says, "I've worked here approximately 20 years, in Merril working. I've been on at least 5 or 6 good working fires we call them. Working fires directly related to storms of that nature with the lightening."
Newsline 9 did have a crew at the scene of the barn fire who say the lightening strikes were so close, that the ground shook.
