Fans react to Favre's reinstatement

WAUSAU (WAOW) -- Brett Favre's reinstatement to the NFL may have moved the saga forward a step or two, but many questions still remain, like who's going to take the first snap against the Vikings September 8th.

Daniel Kerlin says, "The greatest of all time against the backup quarterback. There's no question in my mind he'll be the quarterback for the Packers."

But Daniel Abrahamson says, "Rogers has the starting job in my opinion and he should simply because he's younger."

While many Packer fans are thrilled that #4 is back in Green Bay, other fans say they're just plain sick of hearing about all the drama.

"I'm sick of it in many ways. He has a right to come back, but I think it's really hurting Green Bays plans for the future and causing quite a distraction this year. Causing a lot of problems this year," says Packer fan Evan Cass.

Problems that some fans think are going to hurt the green and gold.

Kelly Rohr says, "I think it's too bad for the Packers as a team because it takes away from who they really are and in a way he's kind of being selfish and taking away from everyone else where he had his chance. He gave it up."

That decision to retire before he was ready has changed the way some fans view the hall of famer.

Cass says, "The way he was portrayed in the media he seemed almost wishy washy, whiney guy and I don't like to think of him that way. I always thought of him as the face of the Packers and very much the face of the NFL and he had this legend, this legacy and it seems like it's kind of been tarnished a little bit."

But for Daniel Kerlin, none of that matters. In his mind #4 is the only option for Green Bay.  He says, "I've never seen a Packer game without Brett Favre, so I've only been here for 10 years.. I couldn't see it any other way."
