PLOVER (WAOW)-Usually you see just one person in a race car, but that's actually not always the case. They're called two man cruisers. One person steers and operates the brakes, while the other is in charge of the gas.
Says Ross Miller, "I just love the adrenaline. I probably can't run the wheel as good as he can, so just the adrenaline."
Says Bill Nicholson, "We got done with the race today and we were just shaking, it's exciting."
One thing's for sure, you have to have a lot of faith in your partner.
Says Doug Wheelock, "Just someone you trust, you have to have trust in the guy that's next to you."
Says Bill Hinner, "He's my best friend, just someone that will push the other guy as hard as they can and hope to win."
Tyler Dominick says, "It's a big trust thing, but one you got that you can do pretty awesome things on the track."
But sometimes being able to communicate is pretty tough
Says Wheelock, "We got little hand signals we use a lot."
Dominick says, "You know point the finger means go, or stop, or a good hit, just get going."
Says Hinner, "The motors are loud so it's hard to hear each other talking so you try to pay attention to what each other are doing."
For most of these guys, its a fun low budget way to head to the racetrack every week.
Nicholson says, "It's a pretty fun time, so we'll probably keep building another car and come out next year."
Wheelock says , "It's cheap to get in to and it's a good time."
