WAUSAU(WAOW)-The Woodchucks own a half game lead in the Northwoods League South standings, but have both Waterloo and Eau Claire hot on their heels. The Chucks took the field at Athletic Park for the final time in the regular season and faced Green Bay for game two of a four game series. Chucks pitcher Brad Allen was good on the mound in his 6th start. He allowed just three hits and struk out six in five innings of work. And he got some run support from the offense. Chris Slater extended his hitting streak to 8 games and was 1-3 with 3 RBI. Meanwhile Matt Gantner was 2-3 with three runs scores as the Woodchucks beat Green Bay 6-1. The Chucks now hit the road for their final four games of the season. They must win the second half if they hope to make the NWL post season.
