Kids' Stories

You'll do anything for your kids and so will we. Children with significant health issues demand a high level of expertise and Marshfield Clinic is the place parents in north and central Wisconsin count on for that help.

Our goal is the best possible outcome for your child's problem. In some cases, this means working with parents and caregivers to help them help their child.

The best illustrations of this care are real-life examples of how Marshfield Clinic has worked to create the best possible outcome for children and their parents.

Read Annabella's story. - What some may view as a burden is a blessing to Brenda and Paul Hoffer of Wausau. Fourteen weeks into pregnancy, they learned their baby had a severe birth defect. An ultrasound showed an omphalocele: Internal organs were growing outside the body. "I'm glad we knew, but it was scary," Paul Hoffer said.

- Most expectant parents don't expect to need a neonatal intensive care unit. Ken and Stephanie Martell, Wausau, are among thousands of families who are grateful that one exists in Marshfield.

Read Beth's story.
- Being in the right place at the right time saved the lives of Beth Roginski and her infant son. "This was a miracle. If she was anywhere else, she probably wouldn't be alive," said Obstetrician / GynecologistMelissa Stoffel, D.O., one of several Marshfield Clinic physicians and Saint Clare's Hospital staff involved in the emergency care.
