Area company to gift new furnace

WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WAOW)-- The winter months are quickly approaching – which means it’s time to winterize your home. For many, a furnace is one of the ways to ensure your family stays cozy inside.

For a special person or family, a new furnace could be hand-delivered to their doorstep.

An area company, Tri-City Services – in partnership with Warm The Hearts - is donating a brand-new Coleman furnace including installation to someone’s home. But who will they give it to? If you’re reading this, you may know someone in need of this heartfelt finishing touch to their winterization routine.

Here’s how it works – people in the Wisconsin Rapids community - that really need it - can nominate themselves, nominate another person, or nominate a family in need.

The nomination ends on October 29th and the winner will receive a warm house from a warm heart.

Speaking of giving, once Coleman – the appliance company – heard about Tri-City’s President and Owner Andrea Jensen and her company’s generosity, they gifted Tri-City with a free furnace towards the effort.

Jensen says her inspiration for the initial partnership was simply because she wanted to, “People aren’t lucky enough to have a newer furnace with a warranty and sometimes they just really worry about it going out in the middle of winter [like] in January when it’s 20 below out and they don’t know where to turn.”

She says it’s all about paying it forward. Warm the Hearts will select a winner at the end of the nomination process.
