MERRILL, Wis. (WAOW) -- An area school district is setting stricter guidelines for quarantined students.

Merrill Area Public Schools posted a statement from the Lincoln County Health Department on its Facebook Tuesday, effective Monday.

It says students that are listed as "quarantined" are not allowed access to any school building, lot, or extracurricular activity until they've finished their quarantine.

Merrill Superintendent John Sample tells News 9 as long as they are in "pandemic mode," they will have this initiative in effect.
