POLONIA, Wis. (WAOW) -- A former University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point professor just gave the school a larger than life donation.
Milo Harpstead taught at UWSP's College of Natural Resources for more than 30 years, and now that he's fully retired, he's giving more than 20 acres of his land to the university.
The land had already been used by students for years to study soil, and now it's official school property.
"The fact that they have free run of digging as they choose and all those sort of things then that’s what I enjoy being able to help them achieve," Harpstead said.
A dedication of the land, now called "Milo Acres," took place with a sign put up near the land.
