"From Laos to America" celebrates reopening in Wausau

WAUSAU, Wis. (WAOW)--The Hmong American Center celebrated heritage and history in honor of the re-opening of "From Laos to America" Museum Saturday.

"From Laos to America" Museum closed its doors alongside the Wausau Mall.

The Museum depicts the experiences of southeast Asian refugees. "From Laos to America" is home to the largest collection of Lao and Hmong Cultural artifacts.

"We are so lucky to have this museum that helped stitch together the Hmong communities rich cultural history here in Wausau," said Wausau Mayor Katie Rosenberg. "So that students families and visitors can learn from the past while figuring out what their future holds."

The museum can now be found at 200 Washington Street Suite 100 in Wausau.
