STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WAOW)-- The City of Stevens Point is calling on all area artists to take a turn at their newest canvas.
"Unwasted Space" is the newest art installation to hit the city.
Stevens Point Mayor Mike Wiza, said they are looking for four to five pieces of art to decorate the side of their city garbage trucks.
Artists are free to submit as many pieces as they wish.
Project creator and Stevens Point Street Superintendent Chris Johnson said he thought it was a great way to use a large canvas to foster creativity.
"Especially visiting other cities and Stevens Point is no different anywhere you see art you can tell the city really comes together to do these projects," Johnson said.
Those interested in submitting a piece of art can send their submissions to MWiza@stevenspoint.com.
All submissions must be a 1x2 ratio, horizontal and appropriate. Advertisements will not be used.
