LA CROSSE CENTER, WI — It was a battle from the start, against Mishicot Indians and Fall Creek Crickets Friday morning during the Division 4 semifinals.
Turnovers and defense in the first half played a huge role with the Indians scoring 11 points off turnovers, leaving the Crickets scoreless for over seven minutes.
At the end of the first half, the Indians led the Crickets 24-12.
The Crickets continued to struggle as the lead would get as high as 27 points, with the Indians going on an 11-0 run with over nine minutes left in the game.
The Indians would ultimately win the game with a final score of 55-30.
Mishicot’s Desiree Kleiman led all scorers with 15 points.
Kleiman also led all players in assists with five.
Fall Creek’s Gianna Vollrath would finish the game recording a double-double finishing with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
