Emergency responders gather at a trailhead in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest after a Tuesday-morning plane crash.

FOREST COUNTY, Wis. (WAOW)-- The names of the three people that were killed in a Forest County plane crash have been released. 

The crash happened on September 28. According to the Forest County Medical Examiner's Office the plane was located at 11 a.m. on September 28 in a marshy area in the Town of Hiles. 

The three people are identified as 28 year old Joseph Johnson of Florida, 28 year old Mike Dickens of Missouri, and 23 year Dominik Faciano also of Missouri. 

The National Transportation Safety Board(NTSB) said the plane was being used to take aerial imagery of the forest vegetation for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

The NTSB, Federal Aviation Administration, Forest County Sheriff's Department and the Forest County Medical Examiners Office are investigating the cause of the crash. 

Surdex Corporation said in a blog post, that "We continue to stay focused on supporting each other, and with substantial resources and specially trained personnel, assisting the families of our three employees."
